How To Put Your DemoWolf Videos Into Your Kayako Help Center

This video walks you through the steps needed to get DemoWolf video tutorials into your Kayako Help Center, using our Kayako API Importer.

Kayako is a support system often used by hosting companies to manage their customer support. Kayako has a support ticketing system, live chat and a knowledgebase they call the Kayako Help Center.

For those of you who use Kayako, but also want to offer DemoWolf video tutorials to your customers, this integration allows you to quickly and easily upload hundreds of videos to your Help Center in just a few clicks.

1. Login to your DemoWolf Members Area;
2. Download your custom XML file (which includes embed codes for all videos);
3. Click the “Kayako Help Center” integration button;
4. Click the “Kayako Importer” button;
5. Enter your Kayako login credentials and a category name;
6. Click “Choose File” and select the XML file you downloaded;
7. Click “Submit”.

That’s it! The videos you chose in your XML file will be uploaded to your Kayako Help Center. A new category will be created with the name you chose above, and within that category will be a sub-category for each video tutorial series you uploaded. Then within each series sub-category will be individual articles for each video within the series.

Each new article contains the uploaded video at the top, and text instructions below the video. The title of each new article is the same as the video title.

I hope you find this useful! If you have any questions or suggestions, feel free to post them in the comments section below, or if you’re an existing member you can submit a support ticket from your Client Area.

Hi Rob,

Thanks for the wonderful plugin, would it also work with KAYAKo version 4.7x i.e. the older version of Kayako which is in house hosted?

    Hi Dhananjay,

    This Importer we created will only work with the new cloud-based Kayako. It will not work with Kayako Classic (v. 4.91 and earlier) as that has its own API, and would require the building of a separate integration.

    If there is enough demand for integrating with Kayako Classic, we will build it.

    I hope that helps!
